Shelley von Strunckel writes daily, weekly and monthly columns for newspapers and magazines, published in Europe, the Middle East, Australia and Asia. In addition to The Sunday Times and London Evening Standard in the United Kingdom, other notable publications are Hong Kong’s South China Morning Post, the Gulf News in Dubai, and both French Vogue and Vogue China.

Problem

Shelley wanted to launch a new webpage that:

  • Has a completely new brand that is in line with her modern astrology expertise recognised worldwide
  • Cover easy management of her content read daily by hundreds of users
  • Has a paid subscription layer that gives access to extended content
  • Has an ecommerce layer that integrates with 3rd party easily
  • Consists of two types of blogs that shares free content or subscriber only content

Solution

Given the need for a lot of customisations we have decided to implement the webpage and shop using Drupal and Drupal Commerce.

We have created:

  • Fresh and modern brand and visual identity
  • Shop that covers multiple custom product types that have different functionalities
  • Integrated layout builder so working with CMS is intuitive
  • Advanced content management so the audio and/or visual materials are either available to all users or only to paid subscribers
